Create and refine a Service
Combine saved rules, documents, and tool permissions into a shareable Service.
Steps and explanations
01Start with a draft
Open My services and create a Service. Enter a name, then clear Publish immediately so you can review the configuration before sharing it.
Try it · Create Team Knowledge Assistant and clear Publish immediately.
02Choose the Service engine
The Service has its own engine. After choosing Cursor, select a ready connection and an authorized model rather than assuming a model name is enough.
Try it · Choose Cursor, the sample authorized team connection, and an authorized model.
03Select saved rule versions
Select the team’s saved System Prompt and User Profile versions. Blank selections use current content; explicit versions make the delivered rules easier to review.
Try it · Choose the team Q&A rules and team response style versions.
04Replace all-doc access with a folder
Open Allowed documents, turn off all-document access, and select only the team folder. Keep private documents outside the Service’s readable scope.
Try it · Select only team-guide and confirm.
05Set scripts and extra capabilities
Documents, scripts, and capabilities are separate settings. Leave scripts unselected for this example, and enable web search only when external information is needed.
Try it · Keep scripts empty and select web search for this example.
06Save and inspect the draft
Save and review the engine, document scope, and draft status. A successful save confirms persistence, not the quality of the Service’s answers.
Try it · Save the draft and inspect its details.
07Refine after testing
If answers exceed the intended scope, edit the rules or document permissions and retest. Retest document updates too, because existing context can hide changes.
Try it · Edit the Service, select the revised rules, and save.
08Publish and check the entry point
Once tests pass, publish and save. Open the standalone chat page, then check it through an address your intended users can actually reach.
Try it · Publish the Service, open its standalone chat page, and ask a sample question.
What you will learn
Save a draft, limit its resources, test changes, and publish a standalone entry point.
Before you start
- You have a working model or an authorized subscription connection.
- You have saved rule versions and sample documents.
