Organize ongoing work with project briefs
Create a project, maintain shared context, find conversations, and understand what moving a chat changes.
Steps and explanations
01Group conversations around one topic
In the Chat sidebar, create a project named Reception training. Projects organize ongoing conversations; they do not create a separate filesystem or publish a service.
Try it · Select New project beside Projects, enter Reception training, and confirm.
02Put stable context in the brief
Write the goal, confirmed rules, and next step in Project brief, then save. Future turns in this project read that background without repeating the opening explanation.
Try it · Fill Project brief with the training goal and confirmed rules, then select Save.
03Start a conversation inside the project
Create a conversation from the project page and request a checklist using its context. The brief supplies background, not message history or the contents of referenced documents.
Try it · Select New conversation on the project page and request a checklist; illustrate the confirmed escalation rule.
04Find a past conversation by title
Search conversations in the sidebar filters titles and project names. Search for training and open a result. A word appearing only in a message may not match here.
Try it · Enter training in Search conversations, open the matching checklist chat, then clear the search.
05Search message content inside the project
On the project page, search conversation content for human. Results can include visible user and assistant text with snippets, but not conversations from other projects.
Try it · Open Reception training, search its conversation content for human, then open the result mentioning escalation.
06Keep the brief concise and current
Save brief updates for subsequent turns. Watch the conservative context estimate: an oversized brief is shortened when injected, while the full saved document remains intact.
Try it · Change the next step to rehearse unusual bookings, save, and locate the conservative estimate and truncation notice.
07Move a conversation and check its context
Practice moving a conversation into a project; its next turn uses the new project context. Deleting a project preserves its conversations as ungrouped, unlike deleting a chat.
Try it · Open Move conversation, select Reception training, check the project list, then inspect but cancel the project deletion confirmation.
What you will learn
Use a project brief for future turns and distinguish title search from project content search.
