Steps and explanations

01Check the engine connection first

Open Models & connections under Environment. The host administrator signs in and grants access. Check that your granted connection is connected before selecting the default engine.

Try it · Open Models & connections and inspect the granted demonstration connection.

02Connection and model refresh

Refresh reloads connection status. Connection managers can also refresh available models. DeepAgents uses the provider configuration below, with credentials separate from the subscription connection.

Try it · Compare the connection refresh action with the provider credentials section.

03Check Python when a script needs packages

If a script reports a missing package, open Python packages. Initialize the environment, install the required package, refresh the list, and verify that specific script again.

Try it · Illustrate environment initialization and package installation without performing either.

04Choose language and interface style

In Interface & time, choose Chinese or English and Regular or Terminal style. The expanded sidebar also offers a language picker. Appearance settings do not change permissions.

Try it · Open the interface-language menu, then inspect the style options.

05Set the correct displayed time

Check your timezone in General settings, under Interface & time. It affects displayed times and the assistant’s current-time context. Also verify the time shown in each scheduled task.

Try it · Select the demonstration timezone and compare server and user time.

06Read what advanced controls affect

The Operation rules and Memory & Soul controls reveal their settings sections. Making a section visible does not grant additional capabilities to a published Service.

Try it · Open Advanced options and read the descriptions of the two visibility controls.

07Understand automatic approvals before enabling them

YOLO automates approvals for trusted work. DeepAgents includes planning; CLI keeps plan approval manual. Permissions still apply. Services and scheduled tasks do not inherit this switch. Leave it off here.

Try it · Read the YOLO description, compare engine behavior, and leave it off.

08Panel refresh reads current state

In the local Panel, System health refreshes backend, frontend, and database status. Usage refresh reloads statistics. Neither action upgrades the application.

Try it · Select Refresh on Panel’s System health page and inspect the current state.

09Review the release before upgrading

View latest release in About / Tools opens the release page. Record your version and back up first, follow platform-specific installation instructions, then verify your services.

Try it · Inspect the current version, locate the release link, and prepare the pre-update checks.

What you will learn

Know where configuration lives and what each refresh action actually does.

Before you start

  • Sign in as an administrator; the host operator can open the local Panel.
